Food is outstanding, this is quintessential New England small shop and Bistro. Can't go wrong with anything on menu. Limited seating inside but have a nice patio outside weather permitting.

You wouldn't look twice driving by it on the road but the food is amazingly fresh and well prepared. It is take out only so order for pick up or delivery. Generous servings of pad thai. They always have people waiting for pick up so place your order before you go

5 best parks within 20 min of us
There are no fewer than forty local and state parks all within 20 minutes of us. These are five of our favorites and a little info about each one. If you're traveling farther out in the state we can give you recommendations for that as well.
Three intersecting trails that run through an old mining complex, some of which is still available to explore. Trails are well maintained but can be moderately steep. There are bat caves in the old mining shafts that you can look into. Parking is limited which is not usually a problem unless visiting during fall when this is a popular destination. As a bonus, maybe visit Mine Hill distillery in the beautifully restored building at base of dirt road that leads
up to park.

Very large park that's a mix of forest and fields and largely bordered by farms. The trails are wide and mostly flat making it popular for mountain biking and horse back riding. Lots of different trails to choose from

This park is actually on both sides of the road that runs through it. The main entrance has a small museum and you can explore old revolutionary war encampment grounds. Easy trail, recommended for history buffs.

Park with a small waterfall and covered bridge. Two intersecting trails, both easy but one takes you to top of hill where you can climb a small tower to take in the views.

one of several adjacent parks along the Housatonic river. There is a small beach here, hiking trails through forest and a large picnic area. If visiting during the summer there is a parking fee at this park but none if visiting outside the summer season.

This is a nursery and odds are if you are traveling you're probably not looking to take a plant home, but I recommend it because of their Barn Shop which is set up in an old milk barn. Visit it for unique gifts (think rustic New England,) charming place and about 2 min up the road from us

Old Town Hall from 1930 that now serves as a movie theater, or alternatively live shows on stage. When they are showing movies they show "off cycle" movies (think movies that have been out for a long time) for $2.00. They have a balcony as well that is occasionally open to public when there is a big showing. This is small scale historic place in a beautiful building, cash only. If you want a much bigger modern movie theater go to nearby AMC in Danbury.
