Iron Pear Tree farm has been family run for three generations. Restoring the unused farm buildings has been a labour of love for us, and we wanted to make sure that we provided unique luxury accommodation whilst maintaining the history of the buildings. The farm is a working one, so guest will be able to relax and enjoy the country setting, as well as get to know our animals. Views out across the farm provide the perfect backdrop for a country get-away whatever the season.

The Horse Box is a beautifully converted horse lorry located in the wild flower meadow of our working farm. Hand crafted inside, The Horse Box boasts a spacious double mezzanine level bedroom, open plan kitchen/living area and separate bathroom. The uniquely rustic and eclectic decor inside has been wonderfully thought out and includes all hand made cabinets and curtains, as well as a log burner. Outside there is a secluded seating area with BBQ, fire and wood fired bath tub that overlooks the rolling fields and woodland.
All with gorgeous country views out across the farm.
*Please Note* 1 medium/large dog or 2 small dogs are welcome and we are happy for you to walk them across the farm, but The Horse Box does not have a secure garden.

In a picturesque country location, that include beautiful walks and bridal ways. The Horse Box is close to the historical Hedighman Castle, Gosfield Lake, the oldest recorded town of Colchester as well as many pretty villages and market towns within short drive.
We are also located near several beautiful wedding/party venues.

We are Carrie-Anne and Nick and we live at Iron Pear Tree Farm.
We love the space we have and wanted to share it with you so we have been lovingly restoring our 1860’s stables which now form The Stable Yard.

We are a working farm so you will see a few animal friends as well as our children from time to time.
