Blue Gecko Apartment is in a fabulous locations with Tahunanui Recreational Grounds right across the street, approx. 500 metre to the left is the Back Beach and a wide range of local attractions including Pro Karts, Laser Tag, Hydroslide, Natureland and Model Trains just to name a few. Head 500 metres along the street to the right to indulge in our personally recommended local cafes and restaurants, or grab a coffee and take a walk along Nelson's iconic and much photographed Tahunanui Beach on a sunny day.

We are a Kiwi couple based in Nelson, NZ; our names are Amanda and Dale. We are a blended family with 5 beautiful children between us ranging in age from 9-16yrs old. They are delightful brood and keep us on our toes!

We're avid home renovation tv series watchers and love to practice our Do-It-Yourself skills! Having finished restoring our home - a 100yr old villa, and our cottage - a 160yr old heritage building, we have been at it again with a 1960s Bungalow in Richmond and most recently another 100yr old villa right in Nelson City. Sometimes when we are mid-project we think we are crazy as the job seems too big. And then as we put the finishing touches on and sanity returns, we fall in love with the whole experience and want to do it all again. I think DIY must run in our veins!

Like you, we love to travel and experience places first hand. We appreciate the value of having personal space, privacy and a comfortable retreat from the busyness of exploring each day. We take every effort to ensure our homes are exactly as described and photographed, as well as sparkling clean. We have regular 'Stay-cations' to ensure they are kept fully updated and ready to meet the changing needs of our guests.

We are hugely grateful to AirBnB and the AirBnB Community for giving us a way of pursuing our home renovation dreams, allowing us extra time with our kids and introducing us to so many lovely people we now call friends!
