The homestay is located in the Muroh village and is one of the homes that lies at the starting point of the village. The best part? The children that run around you once you enter the homestay. The room is located right outside towards the left. The room is a studio and can accommodate two people easily. The room also has a fireplace that can be put to good use on those cold nights.

2- Niriang village is located approximately 6 kilometers from the homestay and a short trek uphill leads you to a point overlooking the distant identifiable view of the Umngot river.
3- Guests can go watch the locals as they farm and learn more about the up keeping of the farm. Rice, potato, maize are some of the common things grown in the farm.
4- Nartiang is one of the world’s oldest Monolith’s located 30 kilometers from the homestay
5- Fine clay pottery is practiced widely by the local communities in Tyrshang village and Larnai village
6- Ummulong market is located approximately 13 kilometers from the homestay and is a traditional market where one can find the local handicrafts and clothes along with locally sourced materials.

Arlin is an independent woman who takes care of the entire house all by herself, it’s women like arlin that have given the village of Muroh the well deserved reputation of being a society that is matrilineal in nature where the intriguing fact is that the descent is through the mother where the daughters inherit parental property. Arlin takes a lot of initiative in the development and advancement of children by working for the government sector. She works by gauging the nutritional value of food products and maintaining a close check on children’s nutrition intake by recording their health on a weekly basis. Apart from this she takes special interest in maintaining a green house right behind her homestay, everything from ginger, cauliflower, potatoes and various other vegetables are grown here. When she returns from her day job, you can see her tending to her saplings with utmost love and care.
