Heir Island is one of Ireland's smallest inhabited islands. The island boasts with beauty, with a plethora of beaches, water sports, day trips and our own jagged coastline where you can take in the best of the Wild Atlantic.

The island is only accessible by boat or ferry, cost is €6 return for adults and the ferry runs every 2 hours in the summer from Cunnamore Pier.

When booking we can introduce you to activity providers in the area so you can make the most of your trip to West Cork.

Heir Island is an untouched piece of heaven and is famous for it's resident artists such as Percy Hall, Christine Thery, Ian Humphries and John Desmond. The island has a beautiful and welcoming close community and has been a perfect escape for many families, wellness and corporate groups and since the opening of a new cafe and pizzeria on the island, it has attracted more couples and young families in recent times.

With no pub or crime of any sort, Heir Island is safest place to stay in Ireland.
