Our unique heritage cottage, built about 1880, is on the outskirts of downtown Tobermory, overlooking Little Tub Harbour and Georgian Bay. The location is ideal for families, divers and hikers, with easy access to shopping and restaurants, the harbour and the Bruce Trail.

This cute story and a half cottage is within walking distance of everything in town, and beyond! Our cottage is 140+ years old and is one of the original homes in the village! There's not a level floor or straight wall in the place, but everything that matters is new or almost new! The place has a storied history and it seems like half the town has lived in it at one time or another! Your well-behaved dog is welcome.

Our property is lovingly known as "Squaller Holler" in the dive community. We're on "the main drag" but on the outskirts of town. Restaurants and pubs, shops and restaurants are mere minutes away, on foot. No need to worry about parking or driving after an evening at the Pub. In these days of "social distancing", prepare your own meals in the comfort and safety of your own space if you prefer.

If you brought your own boat to Tobermory, you can leave it at the Municipal Dock (for a daily fee), directly in front of our house!

As long-time seasonal residents of Tobermory, not many people know the area better than we do! We've been diving and hiking the area since 1974! If you're a diver, you may recognize some of the photos on the walls from Diver and Alert Diver Magazines, or running on the TVs in area dive shops! We purchased this place more than three decades ago and we've been working away restoring it ever since!

Our place is one of the original fisherman's homes in Tobermory. Being such a small community, we know several people who either lived in the house when they were young or their Grandparents owned it. We're unsure of the construction date, but we think perhaps 1880. We've seen photos from the 1930s with our place in them, and it looked old even then! Everything has been replaced inside and out... wiring, plumbing, heat, insulation, most windows, but the basic character of the place remains.
