Your room is cozy and sheltered while looking into the branches of a beautiful oak tree. It is located on the top, third story of our home. A good night's sleep is very important to us, so we installed an ergonomic foam Nectar mattress and pillows. Your private bathroom is just down the hall from your room. We provide soap, shampoo, and conditioner, as well as towels.

Our beautiful, unique house was built in 1896 for Charles Colonna who founded Colonna's Shipyard in 1875. We are situated on a tree lined street with many historic houses, churches, and a synagogue surrounding us. The house is three stories tall, and long from front to back. We are working on updating parts of the house that need it while preserving many original features. We clean and sanitize the bathroom diligently between guests, but you will notice that parts of the bathroom are aged and will eventually be updated after we finish construction on our restaurant and inn that we're opening in a nearby neighborhood.

We provide our guests with filtered drinking water as well as tea and locally roasted coffee. There is also a mini fridge for your exclusive use, as well as a few dishes and silverware. We are happy to provide additional dishes upon request!

We live in a historic residential neighborhood that is filled with natural beauty including old, large trees, nearby waterways, gardens, and plenty of bird watching. There is a lively community without too much noise and bustle. We are in walking distance to several cafes, restaurants, shops, and many gorgeous houses to admire as you visit the neighborhood. We are very close to Sentara hospital and Eastern Virginia Medical School. We are also within walking distance of the lovely Chrysler Art Museum.

My name is Erin, and I host with my husband, Jason. Hospitality is a passion for us! We have been Airbnb hosts for two years, and we are currently in the process of opening a wine bar and inn in the nearby neighborhood of Chelsea. It's called Grandiflora Wine Garden! We are a traveling couple who recently purchased our beautiful home in the historic district of Ghent, Norfolk. We spent nearly a decade living and hiking around Washington state before moving back to Virginia to be close to family. Our passions include world travel, spending time in nature, reading, meeting other travelers, and serving (and tasting) tea, coffee, and wine.

We are proud to share our beautiful 100 + year old, 3-story massive house in one of the most gorgeous neighborhoods in coastal Virginia. Much our time is spent putting lots of love and energy into updating and continually beautifying this beloved home so that we can invite travelers to visit with us and experience a unique, quiet, yet vibrant neighborhood lined with old oaks and filled with gorgeous historic houses.
