Achtung, attention, pozor... we moved to a farm 26 km outside Bobo,direction Orodara (Malian border), the village is called Moami... plenty of space, excellent air, water and food. NO wi-fi. Accessible by public transport. A pick-up can be arranged for guests wishing to stay a bit longer. Updates to follow soon.

The place is run by a Burkinabe-Slovenian couple, who can help you know the local culture. Built in the eighties the house was recently renovated and upgraded. Custom made furniture. Behind the house, there are two separate rooms with private entrances, an outside toilette and two showers.
Ideal for mid- and longterm guests but also for travellers who seek a time-out from their intensive West African experience. GPS-coordinates: N 11 deg, 09.954 min, W 4 deg, 17.105 min.

Moami is a small village 26 km out of Bobo-Dioulasso, some 400 metres from the main road to Orodara and Mali. Our first neighbour is a few hundred meters away. Calm, beautiful spot, close to a seasonal river.

Fiction writer from Slovenia (ex-Yugoslavia). I left my home country at the age of 18 and practically travelled all my life since. Lived in Venice, Sydney, Berlin, New York ... I supported my life there doing various jobs like translator, interior designer, driver, tourist guide, filmmaker, photographer, journalist. From 1993 to 2000 I was the driving force behind the cultural centre "Metelkova mesto" in Ljubljana, Slovenia which is best known today by its hostel "Celica". My passions are solo sailing and the desert, especially the Sahara where I spent five years travelling in a converted ex-military truck. Good food, off-roading, literature and languages, of which I speak several, are also high on the list. Since 2012 I live in Burkina Faso with my wife Sita, my daughter Mara and two dogs.
Most of the furniture in our house we built ourselves, we thouroughly renovated and upgraded the house end of last year and installed a solar system. We like independent guests, but don't mind to socialise if they wish to. Sita is a great cook, I can grill fish.
