COVID UPDATE. Borders are open, so we're accepting couples from all states. and only couples that have had their first 2 vaccinations. Judy and Steve have been fully vaccinated, including boosters. We are a COVIDSAFE family and provide hand sanitiser's for our guests with our compliments.

We’ve also just installed a magnificent library with over 1,000 books; check the photos! Guests are very welcome to enjoy the comfort of the library. Breakfast is always included at no extra charge.

Ettrick Creek is a beautiful property that features a lovely country homestead, set on a 7 acre property with established gardens and 3 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon. In winter, our guests can enjoy a glass or two of Clare Valley wine in front of the warm wood fire ! Our property is just 5k from Clare. There are approx. 4,000 people living in the busy township, with another 4,000 living and working in the Clare Valley. Steve works from home, so will always be here to welcome you. We both hold professional positions and thoroughly enjoy entertaining people, so will always be looking forward to making your stay enjoyable. We have 3 friendly pussy cats and kangaroos visiting us frequently on the property ! We have lots of friends here, and can assist you with information and maps of all of the wineries, and on other interesting places to visit, including art/craft and restaurants. We have a rather spectacular library with over 1,00 books. Guests are welcome to relax and read in the library; and for people on a business trip, the library provides an ideal quiet setting to catch up some computer work if required. We can also provide dinner, which includes joining us with a bottle of famous Clare Valley wine with our compliments. There may also be an opportunity for a fun night at the fire pit (weather permitting). Prices available, just ask ! Our knowledge of the famous Clare Valley wine industry will ensure your stay is relaxed & rewarding. Only 2 hours from Adelaide, with a very comfortable home for couples, & business travellers. We have been honoured as a Super-host for the last 6 years.

There are many exciting things to see and do in the Clare Valley. Apart from some of the finest wineries in Australia, you can cycle on the Riesling Trail, or visit Martindale Hall. This magnificent building is a Georgian styled sandstone mansion built in 1879, near Mintaro, South Australia which appeared in the film 'Picnic at Hanging Rock'. Bungaree Station is also worth a visit. A beautiful rural property with a rich history; established by George Hawker and his brothers in 1841, Bungaree became the headquarters of an extensive sheep station with 100 thousand merino sheep by the 1880s. It became a small village complete with sandstone Homestead, Woolshed, Shearers' Quarters, Station Store, Manager's House, District Council Chambers, staff cottages and a Church. A trip to the township of Blyth (only a short distance from Clare) you'll find artist Ian Roberts OAM. Ian is recognised as one of Australia's premier bird painters, and you can view his many magnificent works at his own working studio, Medika Gallery in Blyth.

Exciting news from Ettrick Creek. We’ve been honoured with another Superhost (Website hidden by Airbnb) proud to be Superhosts again, now for some 5 years!
Meanwhile, Judy and I have a lovely home and have been living here now for 3 years. We both enjoy gardening, and entertaining. Living in the Clare Valley enables us to take pleasure in country living, the wonderful wineries, restaurants, the history of the area and the many exciting attractions and activities that are here to enjoy.

The home also features a very comfy lounge and sitting room with an inviting log fire and dining area, which opens onto the patio and garden. We will also certainly give our guests the space that they need to relax and enjoy the country atmosphere at Ettrick Creek. However, we will both be available at any time to help our guests if they need any advice or assistance.
