Closing out with the environmental impacts of soap and its use of plastic packaging. Fact: On average we use 7X more liquid soap than solid soap. We use 30% more water when washing our hands with liquid soap than solid soap bars This is a very informative experience and you will be guided patiently the entire process. You can personalize your batch by selecting from a variety of scents and herbs. We will skip the saponification process and meltdown the all-natural base. Making soap is easy to do once you have made it with a pro. You will leave here knowing how to make your own soap, including recipes and resources. Other things to note The soap you create will need to cure for24 hrs before it becomes solid and ready for use. You will take the soap home with you the same day. When you charter our boat, we will greet you outside our dock at Liberty Landing Marina, in Jersey City, NJ (a 13 minute ferry ride from downtown Manhattan). After a vessel tour and brief safety overview, we will depart from the marina and enter the NY harbor. Our charter lasts 2 hours and includes popular sights such as the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, the Freedom Tower, and various bridges on the Hudson and East River. There will be many opportunities for photos and we will spend enough time at each destination to ensure the perfect picture. At the end of the tour we will return to Liberty Landing Marina where you can catch a ferry back to Manhattan or dine at one of the fantastic restaurants on site. Other things to note Your safety is our priority; trips may have to be rescheduled due to high winds, seas or storms. Please be on time. If there are multiple bookings we can not wait for late comers. Please plan to arrive 20 minutes prior to departure time. No smoking onboard.

Our walking tour will start in the St. George Ferry Terminal, where I will be waiting by the Information Kiosk. From there we will explore the waterfront pavilion, stop for unmatched photos of the NYC harbor. Our tour continues by going deeper into the historical St. George Neighborhood. We'll navigate the neighborhood like locals, learning the remarkable history of the area. Finally, our tour will conclude in the St. George Ferry Terminal. Throughout this tour, you'll learn the ins and outs of Staten Island from the perspective of a local. I'll share some the best kept secrets of the Island and you'll have a chance to interact with many locals along the way. Other things to note Comfortable shoes, there will be a lot of walking and the tour goes up and down steep hills! Bring a sense of adventure, the more you give to the neighborhood, the more you'll get back.

You'll start at the fragrance station smelling your favorite fragrances. Then we'll show you how to combine them and layer your scents together. Before pouring your wax we discuss the organic coconut wax benefits. As your candles dry we play interactive games and discuss candle care. You can decorate your custom jar label and name your amazing creation! Other things to note You will be making a 9oz jar and 4 oz tin with organic coconut wax candle(s). This experience does not require expertise. We will show you how to do every step. You will come to make candles and leave with new friends. This event is not a class setting, it's more of fun and a great way to make signature candles.
