The Tarka Line is within easy reach and there are also several golf courses and plenty of opportunities for swimming, horse riding, cycling and fishing.
The cathedral city of Exeter is 25 miles away with the River Exe, Devonshire Heartland, Somerset and the North Devon coastline all within easy reach. Crealy Adventure Park, Diggerland, Paignton Zoo, which covers 75 acres, and the Dart Valley Steam Railway make a great day out with the children. The Jurassic Coast is 20 miles away which offers walkers stunning views. From the coastal path you can experience the drama of sheer cliff faces, taking in Sidmouth, Budleigh Salterton, Seaton, Beer and Lyme Regis. The Jurassic Coast is also ideal for exploring on foot, bicycle or on horseback. Branscombe is a haven for walkers, with a cluster of thatched and stone cottages nestling alongside a narrow lane at the bottom of a wooded valley.
